Based in Solihull, West Midlands, we are a wholly owned subsidiary of Biotest
AG our German parent company located in Frankfurt. The parent organisation
was established in 1946 by Dr Carl .A. Schleussner and his son Hans. Influenced
by the findings of Karl Landsteiner (1868-1943), they initially concentrated
their research efforts on blood group serology. In 1948, Biotest introduced
the first test serum for Anti-D, the first product in the world for the determination
of the Rhesus factor. The company has since moved on to develop even greater
customer solutions and this website will offer you information on the whole
